I'm guessing you're looking at 3 or 4 days minimum. So probably midweek I'm guessing. I doubt he's paying for overnight

For most people it would be 3-4 days, but due to Hanshin's proximity to Chip, I wouldn't be surprised if it took 2 days, 1 day might be a little extreme but not out of the question.

Unfortunately, you will not receive today since they were shipped at 9:30 am today. You might tomorrow given your proximity.
Sorry for the delay of a few days, it was ... unavoidable.

Thanks for letting us know when you shipped the goodies out. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get from you to me.
My last sencha will be finished this week, so your timing is spot-on.
Best wishes,
sherubtse

Yes, I am interested as well, you are as close as anyone in Canada.
I will be editing the first few posts of the topic to include the blind key and the brewing directions. They will be there for easy access ... shortly.

I got mine in the mail yesterday! I had class last night and didn't get home until almost 10pm, too late for tea. So I was excited to get to them this morning and then in my stupidity, I forgot to bring it with me to work this morning... hopefully I will remember to grab them when I go home for lunch.

Oh, this is exciting! I can't wait to be trying these teas...in about four weeks.
But I'll stay positive; Tea works its magic on me, so maybe it'll have a like effect on Canada Post.

Hooray! The tea arrived in the mail today. Thanks to Chip and to those who provided the tea!
I decided to start with #5. I brewed this tea in my Novak shiboridashi, which holds about 3oz, so I used 4.0 grams of tea (per the 1.25 recommendation for a 'brothy' experience), and I brewed:
90s, 158F
20s, 160F
60s, 175F
120s, 181F
4m, 212F
The first steep was quite thick. It had a the typical grassy quality, but it had some 'high' or 'bright' notes that I can't quite describe. Very different from recent ones that I have had. Strong punch, typical floral-like fade.
The second steep lost the weird high notes, and this steep was probably the peak of the experience... lips already buzzing, feel cool. The 3rd to 5th showed the same qualities as the second, but lightening every time until the 5th was just giving the faintest hints.
A very enjoyable start to OTTI #11. I am looking forward to the rest and to re-visiting all of the teas after reading everybody's tasting notes, too!
