Fri/Sat TeaDay 10/28-29/11 TeaSlobbery?
Welcome to our virtual TeaRoom on TeaDay. Please share what is in your cup today, all day. And be sure to discuss the topic of the day.
Yesterday we discussed whether we were slurper, sippers, etc. Please continue to discuss yesterday's topic.
Today's TeaPoll and discussion topic. How about a question/poll on TeaSlobbery? This would be about either how messy/neat you are during the tea-making process. TeaSlobbery and TeaKlutzery? Are you a slob, a klutz, or quite the opposite? Please share.
We are looking forward to sharing this TeaDay with everyone. Bottoms up.

I'm always knocking things over or burning things when I make tea! I've broken so many glass cups in the past year while making tea. I think that I need rubber ones! So un-classy!

I voted for tea slob. Everytime I make tea, I leave a mess of loose leaf and sugar.
I'am drinking this morning wuyi ensemble from adagio.

personally I don't like to waste anything, so I take my time not to spill water or tea. so no, not a klutz or a slob in this case.

Some days, I'm on it and no mess or problems. In general though, I am not the most graceful when brewing. I said slob and klutz.

Definately a teaslob. I seem to be unable to make tea withou spilling something, leaves, water, tea. Fortunately i havent been too much of a tea klutz, broke a few cheap gaiwan, but nothing major, tho i did recently send my tea tray up in flames when i turned on the wrong stove burner. oops

tea slob sometimes but really that's because a couple of my favorite pots have a leak in spout. I like their outcomes so much though to even try to 'fix' them. I think they are just fine. Tea does dribble when I pour though. Whats the big deal?
Not klutzy while I am drinking/serving tea, but the trip to the sink or the walk back home with teaware in hand has led to a few glass pieces broken and two houhin lids. Really it only happens when I overload my plate/tray, need to stop doing that!
Some dancong from houde today, lovely.
Good day to you all

Much depends on how much time I have.. if I'm in a hurry, yep, I get stuff all over (except the tea leaves) but if I have time.. then I'm much neater about my tea making process.

Tea tray saves me a lot of headache, even when brewing Japanese teas and such. A little spillage and an occasional broken cup or gaiwan are normal for me

I´m definitely a tea klutz...and that may lead to teaslobbery
There´s been plenty of broken teawares, lids falling off while pouring, overfilled pots....ect....

I used to be a tea slob but since I purchased a tea tray to catch spilled water and leaves I now use my tools appropriately. I can't blame any breakage on my kitties so it must be my fault because I'm usually the only person in the kitchen when I'm drinking tea. That's why I don't collect teaware - I don't buy anything that's so expensive I would be distressed by breakage.
I took a break from the Sencha OTTI to drink some of my favorite Sencha Karigane.

I am neither a tea slob or tea klutz. I am quite meticulous when it comes to tea.
I am very proud to announce, that as of tonght, I no longer have a computer in my tea room!!!!
I am so happy!
It is a little less convenient to work on my website, but since I am now raising my daughter pretty much alone, working in the living room lets me be closer and spend more time with her. Of course, this means I need to get a electric kettle for my desk.
I am very happy about that. I have been wanting a new one, but will not throw away an old one until it breaks down and they seem to last forever. I think I am going to have to buy a new lamp too. It is took dark in the corner.
