While I'm trying to decide on my tea of the month for October I'm thinking that the tea of the month for November will be puerh. I've been following the discussion "Yixing Prices and Online Places" and I ended up purchasing an apprentice pot from Red Blossom that tingjunkie recommended. It's functional, attractive and a pleasure to use. Today is day two of my first session with this pot with 1990's (late) Grand Yellow Label sheng from Essence of Tea. My first time with this tea - I only purchased a sample large enough for two session - so I can't comment on the effect of the pot on taste.

I chose:
1) Black tea - Sikkim Temi First Flush from TWG Teas - I enjoy this most at present. The Temi is my favorite FF recently.
2) oolong - Saphir Himalaya ( First Flush) from Mariage Freres - I tried a few oolongs from vendors of my country and got discouraged altogether for a long time. Now can't wait trying more oolong when getting tea next time
Leaving home for college for a few days and already unhappy for (te)a good reason

SuiMei gyokuro from Den's and Chiran sencha from O-cha were the go-to teas of October. A nice yin and yang effect
.
Today trying the Takumi from Zencha. Very nice.

I voted just black. It was a toss up between Earl Gray, English Breakfast, and Irish Breakfast.

I got a good deal on a bunch of Chinese green tea (Lu An Gua Pian to be exact) so I drank a lot of that in October. I voted accordingly.

Not a very good tea month.
Was going to put in an order online and instead picked up a few teas from a tea shop I passed whilst visiting Edinburgh. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The dao hong pao was reasonable.
That makes the pu-erh stocks tea of the month!

I was looking through my unsorted photos and found this....it´s a pot from pre-hispanic Mexico...it sure looks like a tea pot, though they used it for something else obviously....I wish I knew what

I think it could have be one of those old old fashioned Hot Chocolate makers that the Mayans used?
The Mayans (or Aztecs) used Vessels like this to drink a whiskey like drink out of.
Or maybe they had pots like that for medicine.

Can't remember what was the Tea of the Month for my October. I went in hospital on November 2 and just got out last night. Not a good time.
Glad to hear from our members about surviving that terrible storm ya'll had last week.
