Great new set of wares to choose from here Michael! My husband dropped and destroyed my small TA SO ShyRabbit cup

, so I have been shopping for a new one!

I just picked up this Shino, Wood Ash and Copper Great Carbon Trapping yunomi, so looking forward to seeing it in person!

As usual Michael, fantastic diversity in your glazes.

One of a kind glaze finish ... hopefully not. However it is going to someone named KY ... hmmm ... :wink:

And ... to someone named Karma ... :mrgreen:

I like both of these including the light interiors!!!

NOW, maybe we could convince Michael to do some of these with lighter interiors for tea viewing. I bet you would sell them a lot faster (to TCers for sure!). I like the look of the blackish tenmoku interior ... but my tea senses struggle with it. But this has not stopped me from purchasing a few ... including ONE with a white interior!!! :mrgreen:

And yeah, lower and/or wider and/or tapers are a plus for some of us.

And yeah, the brew vessels would be an amazing progression. I envision some of your glazes in a hobin or various pot styles ... whoa!

Only thing missing is the flared lip

I love my Michael Coffee cup but a flared lip would make it more comfortable to drink from without having few tiny drops collect on the outside of the brim every couple of sips (it's also not tapered).

Maybe you should add some more classic bowl shaped tea cups with flared lips. I'm sure you'd take that classic shape to the next level with your style and glazes.

His craftsmanship is outstanding by the way. Just for the record. One of the best I've seen!

And wow, you've created some REALLY IMPRESSIVE pieces lately!

Will do! I really need to get my camera out, I have a couple other new pieces I have not got around to photographing yet.

It's hard to show the liveliness this deep glossy swirly glaze has in a photo:

As you can just barely see, this one has a lovely dark rim carrying the glaze inside but then the bulk of the interior is white:

I also picked up a very cool darker earth toned shino with an interesting irregular surface but it was a gift so didn't stay here long enough to be photographed before it went to my tea buddy (who is enjoying it very much).

Hello all,
It's been quite some time now since I've posted to my page...I've been teaching (clay & printmaking), working on a top to bottom redo of an old log house, curating and installing exhibits here a Shy Rabbit and making work. I know I've said this before but..."where does the time go?"

I want to thank all of you that posted images of my work here and for your generous and supportive comments. I've also taken note of your suggestions to make smaller, wider, flared lipped and light colored interior works and as well, that I should pursue brewing vessels. I will now have time to move these ideas forward.

Thanks again for your support of me and my work, I truly appreciate it.
