I wish I could comment on puerhshop mao cha offerings that I wanted to order, but my two attempts to contact the vendor regarding shipping options (to Israel) failed - I never got any reply on my email (sent via Contact Us form on the website) and a private message through teachat.

Promising teas, but I couldn't get any response from the vendor, either.
Seems to me that, if a vendor wants more orders, they should put some small effort into communication.

I've ordered from Puerh Shop probably over 5 times now and I've been happy with everything. However, I haven't ever tried to contact Jim as I haven't had any problems, so I wouldn't know about his responses or lack thereof.
Jim has some good offerings, very reasonably priced, and low shipping costs seeing as he's located in the US. The American Hao bings that he commissioned himself are really great, too.
+ he usually throws in a bunch of free samples with my orders which is very cool.

I just got my first order in and though I haven't tried the pu-erh yet I'm already more than happy with this vendor.
I made my order on Friday night around 11pm and received it today (monday). Super fast shipment!!!! Lets just hope the pu is great.

I've ordered from Jim/Puerhshop.com on many occasions and always received my package quickly and in good shape.
My last order required that I contact Jim directly. I received very quick replies.

Have only ordered once and received very quick response, with good packaging, and decent samples. Would probably shop again if the website was a little less of a mess and I thought I could score a bargain there.

I've ordered from there a couple of times. I hope you're not a beginner with puerhs because the selection is overwhelming! I've ordered teaware and accessories from him and was happy. Lots of free samples, good prices and fast and cheap shipping. Be sure to check out his one brews too. Some good Oolong offerings.

don't order if you have just a card. if you have cash in your paypal account, by all means go for it. but don't goof up like i did and try to figure out how to pay using a credit card.

I've ordered from Jim many, many times and have always gotten everything quickly, well-packed, and in great shape. Take his comments with a grain of salt, but he does have a huge collection, and it's in the US, so great shipping for those also in the US.
I recently placed an extremely large order, and was actually shocked that he had some of the items in stock at the quantities that I ordered....!

Can you elaborate more on the "fakes" and "knock offs"?
I'm considering buying from this vendor (specifically some Menghai cakes).
Much appreciated.

Eh, I recommend starting with samples and judge for yourself. In my experience, Jim does a pretty good job at pricing the tea based on taste or quality (except for the ones that are wacky expensive because of the name/region).
