1109 Mangfei brick from Puerh Shop

by Drax » Dec 13th, '11, 06:34

Has anybody tried this brick from the Puerh Shop?

I enjoyed my first session with it over the weekend, but I was curious about something in particular. The wet leaves had an odor that I couldn't quite identify and it also also an odor that doesn't pop up too often -- it was almost savory, sort of reminding me of soy sauce or... well, I couldn't quite place it, which is why I'm posting here.

Anybody try this one and can help me out? :D

I LOVE both the Mangfei productions 1105 and 09.
In fact I was just sitting with some 1105, the spring version of that brick, and you're right, the leaves do smell "spicy-savory."
These two are a couple of the most delightful new shengs I've tried and the price is sure right!
