Thanks Chip. Having more time to consider choices is great, especially since I'm at work when they are normally posted and I have to look at them in a panicked rush

Re: ORIBE PHASE 2
Before 6 pm Thursday, I will announce which Oribe you have selected for me. Then you will know which one not to include in your choices.
And ... as usual, please try to choose 5 or MORE selections.

Well, I do try to accommodate a world-wide readership ... not so easy to do.camw wrote:Thanks Chip. Having more time to consider choices is great, especially since I'm at work when they are normally posted and I have to look at them in a panicked rush

Your foot fetish is well known by now, Chip, and clearly you have a thing for drips too. I think #3 has the drippiest foot, just right for you.

Well, Mrs. Chip has Fred Flintstone feet and severe allergies ... so bizarre Koudai and drips are seemingly second nature for me.debunix wrote:Your foot fetish is well known by now, Chip, and clearly you have a thing for drips too. I think #3 has the drippiest foot, just right for you.

Re: ORIBE PHASE 2 Prelim Topic with Preview!
Thanks for the preview, Chip! I don't know if you'll be able to answer this question, since none of us have seen these pieces in person, but I was wondering--there seems to be quite a bit of difference in color between the photos with the cups alongside their boxes, and the cups by themselves. I was wondering which was more true to life--the blue-green color of the oribe glaze in the shots that include the tie boxes, or the more yellow-green color in all the other close-up shots?
The vagaries of color on the internet being what they are, I can't tell which pictures are closest to the real life versions. Any thoughts?

Re: ORIBE PHASE 2 Prelim Topic with Preview!
Sorry for the delay in replying. Major TC problems today.
I think the deeper green with multiple hues is more true to life. I had received a whole batch of washed out photos that were not true to life and were more yellowish green.
When I commented, Mago explained that he was away and a staff member took the photos.
He then retook the entire series (no small task). He explained these are hard to photogragh. So, in my experience and my understanding from mago, the deeper green is more true to life.
However, even with the retake, there are some washed out photos, a result of the surface being dark, the camera wants to lighten the image.
I hope this helps!

FYI ... all participants who email in the first 60 minutes will be grouped together at the same time. Mini lotteries will take place as needed.
I think this is most fair.
I am anxious to see everyone's selections!
Please remember to email to teachat@adagio.com
