Thursday TeaDay 2/2/12 Maybe I was not fully alive ?

by Chip » Feb 2nd, '12, 11:28

Welcome everyone to a new TeaDay! Old and new alike, I am looking forward to sharing our TEA with each other today!

It has already been a very busy week for me, but not too busy to talk about and share our tea!

We have been sharing with each other our penchant for tea and if we forget to eat. Please continue to post and share your thoughts!

Congratulations Xell on the birth of your daughter!

Back in the future ... another TeaDay inspired by member Xell, he is quite quoatable! "Hard to imagine, how I could live without TEA before hmm... maybe I was not fully alive, just existed".

Please share with us today, not only in answering the poll but what teas you are drinking today, be sure to tell us all about your tea.

Bottoms Up!

I don't think I was less alive before tea, but more and better tea has definitely enhanced my enjoyment of being alive. And 'better' teawares have added to that enjoyment too.

Some Tai Ping Hou Kui this morning, green peas and grassiness, not as fresh as when opened. Next time I am stuck buying a green tea with a 100g minimum order, I've got to remember to seal up and freeze half of it. Then on to Hankook's Hwang Cha, lovely as always. I think I may need a bit of a green oolong before I can return to last night's unfinished session with some Dan Cong brewed in the teeny cheapo yixing pot. I need something brighter in between those two.

Tea helped wake me up, but it mainly lead me to artisanal teaware. Since then I have been on cloud 9.

Haha, glad that i'm useful here :D

Tea sure changed many things in my life, most biggest difference is how much more energy i have during most days. Before tea quite often i felt lazy/sleepy, a bit difficult to focus on work. Now when i'm drinking green tea daily i didn't feel like that anymore. Can happen due to lack of sleep, but this is just natural :)

Another thing, since i don't like most alcohol drinks and those i do like, i drink rarely. Tea filled this role perfectly, a drink that i can explore, has amazing amount of flavors and interesting background. Quite a lot of interesting information to read and learn.

And all this lead me to many new connections with people which i really enjoy.

As Chip said,
Congratulations Xell on the birth of your daughter!
:)

Tea has been a large part of my life -- drinking it alone, or with family and friends. It is a more interesting part of my life since finding TeaChat!

No tea yet today; as my fluids are now restricted, I space my tea over the day very carefully!!!

Consciousness=Awareness
Caffeine from tea enhances awareness.
Consciousness is a major component in being alive.

Caffine, Tea and Awareness are like the Holy Trinity.

Or as Emtroembrace said maybe the Holy Trinity is Coffee, Tea and Chocolate
