Greetings TeaFriends. As I hinted in the "Last TeaDay" topic, TeaDay is going through some much needed changes as the needs of the forum are changing.
The sharing what is in your cup feature of TeaDay has become rather obsolete as similar topics have sprung up in individual tea-type forums of TeaChat. Having observed trends for an extended period, I feel it would be better to promote these individual forum topics versus trying to "compete."
To this end, I will post links to these topics as a reminder to members and for members who may not be aware of them. I will also "sticky" them ... giving them a more official status ... we will see how that works out.
Obviously if you have been a long term observer of TeaDay, the loss of sharing what is in your cup has taken a big chunk out of our TeaDay activity and posting. Where TeaDay would get get 40 or more posts each and every day for a long run, current posting has subsided tremendously.
Therefore, we will reinvent TeaDay. TeaDay will hopefully again be a "door" to TeaChat where members stop in on there way to the rest of the forum. Look for the return of daily topics, announcements, and hopefully new and very different topics. TeaDay will be more like "our TeaRoom." Hopefully I will be able to incorporate a poll into the daily topics ...
Starting Thursday March 1st ... begin to look for a new and ever changing TeaDay. And you can still always tell us what is in your cup!!!

Re: NEW TeaDay! Leap Year Day 2012
I'd be sorry to see the 'what's in your cup' going away from TeaDay. I like to get excited/inspired by people talking about teas whose 'what green/pu/black/white/oolong' are you drinking today' topic I might have been neglecting.
Today, leap day, drinking a nice basic 'A' grade Da Hong Pao from Norbu. The day started with a few more infusions from some fantastic TeaHabitat 'mother tree' Dan Cong leaves given as a bonus with a recent order. And I've got a new order of mostly green teas from Norbu to look forward to when I get home.

So, I hope TeaDay will continue to offer cross-section sharing of what is in our cups. But it seems the lion's share will continue to be in the type specific forums of TeaChat.debunix wrote:I'd be sorry to see the 'what's in your cup' going away from TeaDay.
