Little Pig Tea pots & Other addictions
Re: Little Pig Tea pots & Other addictions
I am sorry, Jean Ann, I am a little slow on the uptake on these things.
So the reduction is causing more of a blushing of red, or is it more than that.
Looks like there are solutions, right. Although a blushing is not really a bad thing.

Hey Chip!
Yes the reduction was the cause of the blushing and yes the solution suggested by R and J should keep the green--well green
I can do that. It will just take a little more time as these little critters are quite demanding in that department.

Bad little pig! and so sorry cory. I see you have posted in my thread some time ago and somehow I missed it. As to the texture of my teapots I have made press molds from the hedge apple. It takes two halves to make a tea pot. In short I press them together, cut out the lid then add the rest of the elements.
Glazing? They are layered. I begin with a neutral ash and spray/layer other glazes with color over. Firing is reduction cone 10.
As to what I've been doing lately--so sorry my teapots still wait for me. I figure I shall get back to them after my little exhibit at Rosewood (Kettering Ohio). It is a series of sculptural worms. You can find details at http://littlepigpottery.blogspot.com/
