Hello TeaChatters! Let's have some fun today with this topic!
Peyton Manning just signed a 96 Million Dollar contract. This got me to thinking about other super athletes and super stars in other vocations, i.e. actors, musicians, etc. and their mega millions of dollars. Just what in the world do they do with all this money?
Better yet, let's imagine we had such unlimited funds available.
So share with us. What in the world you would do with all that money?
Would you purchase a tea plantation or 2?
Of course the poll could not possibly contain all the possible answers so we will keep it simple with a few TEA Related choices.
I am looking forward to the multitude array of answers!

... oops. I decided I could not get specific because there are way too many choices out there ... and "accidently" left Hagi in the options. It really was an accident, Freudian albeit.Stentor wrote:Stopped reading at Hagi and clicked vote
I am adding the ability for multiple voting as well. Unfortunately I cannot add nor delete actual choices since this would also clear the voting.

Ah I was just going to go with "Other ( read as All of the above).

Never drink a "daily grade tea" again
Make some tea purchases that I have always held off on due to cost
Drop everything and TeaTour
Build a TeaRoom of my dreams and attach the home of my dreams to it
TeaGarden ... you know ... an Asian influenced garden.
Maybe "Never drink a daily grade tea again" is extreme. But to have the means to never have to, is a very nice situation to be in!
No tea today--YET. Debating on whether I should to out to buy a sketchbook to use as a tea journal. This is only a $5 question, but a yes decision could lead to the journal collecting dust on a shelf because I'm too busy to get to it. Hmm, a $million could buy a lot of time, yes it could!
Edit: Still pondering a tea journal. Made a cup of Darjeeling 2nd flush.

Probably buy a decent chunk of land somewhere. Or an island and start my own country
I would invite you all over for good times, then force you to work on my tea fields for free for the remainder of your life. Your never leaving once you set foot on my land
About to brew some japanese oolong from yuuki at work. Have a lovely day all.

ok.. I'm probably the exception, but I would purchase some teas and teaware which I cannot currently due to budget. That is all. I'd probably pay off everything and maybe get a townhouse. I'm easily pleased I guess.

seriously...i'd drop everything and dedicate my life to helping other people. I could get 'the best' tea whenever I wanted, so then it probably wouldn't mean as much to me.

Give a bunch of it to some important charities.
Put away some for my kids (distributed at the right time).
Pay off the mortgage.
Give some to my college to improve the ceramics program and facility there.
Put a small Japanese-style home, studio, and small wood kiln on the free piece of land my good friend has offered me in Japan, and plan on working there a portion of every year.
Save some for retirement use.
best,

PS: Yes... there would be tea involved .

First the house, then the college funds, and if there was enough left over after a few more causes were taken care of, some extra fine tea, and perhaps some of the more expensive teawares I've drooled over would look nice in the new teaware display case.
Today was notable for some not super expensive but really pleasing teawares, and fine tea--San Nen Bancha, deeply toasty-roasty yet sweet, and a good session with some Wu Niu Zao, a pleasant grassy-sweet Zhejiang green, both from Norbu.
