Tea app?

Tea app?
Maybe this has already been discussed...I'm not sure. But do any of you use a tea app for your smartphone? I have recently moved from brewing single cups of tea at my desk to trying out a french press. I'm working out the amount of tea vs. lenght of time to brew. And it occured to me that there is probably a super handy dandy app out there that will calculate all of that for me, based on the tea I am brewing! I see that Teavana has one, but I am not interested in the commercial slant. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Thanks!

... heh ... I would not trust an app over my own personal experience.
For the timer, I either use the phone's count-up feature (no annoying beeps) or a regular timer's count up feature.

I'm sure I will figure it out eventually through trial and error. But if there is a good 'jumping off point' to help me ruin less pots of tea, I think that is a good place to start.

Re: Tea app?
I use the "tea app" all the time, when I get a specific parameter down for a certain tea I just load all the info and it's set to go for all my future brews. especially handy when you drink a WIDE variety of tea and don't always write down a lot of notes, with very finicky teas it easy to forget the "magic number" for time and water temp. plus it's easy to change settings in that app. so if I find my preferences change for a particular tea I can make a quick adjustment.

...or simply the ability to access the forum via the "Tapatalk" app. That would be nice. It's just something the forum (system) admins have to enable afaik.

I use the Tea app also. It doesn't give advice on how to brew, but can track your experimental results, good and bad, and prompt you with time and temperature for each infusion of multiple-infusion teas.

Re: Tea app?
i agree that the Tea app is very useful for tracking brewing and tasting info on specific teas. i use it frequently as there is no way that i can keep up with all that info in my head! it does have a few limitations but i really like that it allows you to make and store backups both on their central server and locally.

Yes ... I have put in a request to admin/ownership/adagio for this. I could probably do this but would feel better with their involvement.
I will keep the pressure on.

The app linked to above looks great. Does anyone know if there is an android version available? I looked in the marketplace to no avail.

I suggest asking the developer. He's very responsive and always replies to my emails.

tapatalk app is now TeaChat enabled ... or should I say, TeaChat is now tapatalk enabled. Well, something like that.
You will have to download this app to your smartphone.
