Good news bad news ... Package #2 was declared lost. Package #2(b) was resent on Monday, Japan time. I hope to receive it on Monday or Tuesday.

Sorry for the delay. If everything had worked out perfectly, everyone would have their samples by now. :evil:

I imagine the original package #2 is sitting in some huge bin or room somewhere for some reason. It will show up maybe one day ... but this package had a kilo of sencha in it ... ouch! :cry:

Wow, that doesn't seem to happen too often... in a twisted sense, sort of better to have it happen with something actually replaceable (as opposed to pottery).

And in another twisted sense, gives me more time to clear more of the ungainly number of samples of pu'erh that I have built up.....!

It is likely that the package was either returned to sender or like I said is sitting somewhere with a bazzilion other parcels anywhere between Zencha and here.

Zencha actually read this topic, their customer service person is a member of TeaChat. After seeing the switching of the to and from labels in my photo, I was contacted immediately. They apologized for the mistake, and offered to replace the missing package promptly, which they did.

It is amazing that one package arrived without any delay ... and the other went poof.

Sounds like they have good customer service, which moves them up in my rankings. As mentioned previously, I will be reading the feedback to the OTTI with much interest.
