No, that's a generic wrapper. It's completely anon except for the fact that Guang sourced it and is willing to vouch for its quality by selling it.

Pretty much the brick version of green/yellow mark cake wrappers that mean nothing. They also have different stamps so its not the exactly the same wrapper. Plus one is from Taiwan and the other Kunming.

Hrm, well if I'm reading the site correctly, there's only 2 *samples* left. Whew.

Solitude -- that was a very good question, and it's nice to know. It still would be interesting to compare the two. I'll put one of the YS ones on my wishlist, and we'll see if there's still any left of the 90 currently in stock when I make another order in a few months....

TomV posted some bricks he purchased in another thread, and they all have the same wrapper, too.

and I have no idea what they are - surprise tea :) I searched the web for the blue stamped 7562, but found nothing. No mater what it says on the label, the proof is in the cup.

BTW - I bought some 2003 yiwu from best tea house - a stack of 4 bricks wrapped in bamboo with no labels. still pretty green, but promising. The liquor is starting to turn reddish and the flavor has a lot of body.

Okay, so this brick is back in stock. It's actually been in stock for a while, but I was curious about the stability.... so, it's currently at 6.

Xiaguan Nanzhao tuochas from 2004. They are reputed to have some LBZ in them.

I enjoyed the one I had, though I had some inconsistencies in sessions, some were very nice, some ruined more on my part I suppose, but the tuo did have what seemed to be varying layers. This one was pretty sensitive, still very aggressive, but nice sweetness and uniform woody throughout infusions, not really for me to drink often, was my conclusion towards the end of the tou, not because of taste but because of its raw young nature. Did not take a lot to brew good infusions though, 1/1 ratio was enough to get about 8 good infusions. I think for 40 or so bucks it was fairly priced for something not too common and of good quality from 2004.

Guessing that they would age well (though I have zero exp in aging puerh), it just seemed to change well for the 8-10 months I did have it.
