NYC loses another tea shop :
Our New York City shop on Crosby St. is closing its doors on April 20.
We've enjoyed sharing a cup of tea with many of you for the past year and a half, and we hope to see you in the shop before we leave. Be sure to stop in the week of April 16-20 to say goodbye and stock up at our tea and teaware sale.
We will continue to serve our wholesale customers from our new Manhattan office and tasting room- check back here for details.

That was the first shop to sell me real tea! Those fellas did a great job serving the public. What a loss.
If they read this, thank you thank you thank you!

The Seven Cups store near me closed recently as well.
Chinese tea still seems to be a niche market in the US, tough to make a profit in it. It doesn't help that more and more people are buying online where selection is greater and prices are cheaper, especially with shipping rates so low.
