Pearl Orchid greens and oolongs?

by mbanu » Mar 30th, '12, 20:33

Can anyone recommend any good sources? (By Pearl Orchid I mean Chloranthus Spicatus/ 金粟蘭)

Is this sort of tea still being made?

Are you the same mbanu from steepster? If you are, I have seen your posts there, and your knowledge of the tea industry and its history are quite daunting.

Anyway, back to your post. I did a quick google search and found nothing worth mentioning. I don't know how your luck will turn out in finding it.

What is your motivation for finding this tea? Is it the taste? the history behind it? Something else? In other words, I'd love to know more about this elusive tea

That's me. No need to feel daunted; we're all learning together, after all. Besides we share a common passion for tea and conversation. :)

Mostly I'm just curious about it. I don't really know very much about flower teas.
