Oriental Beauty Recommendations?
I have a great tragedy in my tea-life--I am out of Oriental Beauty/bai hao! Other than Floating Leaves, can anyone else recommend some vendors who carry high quality bai hao in their inventory, so that I may remedy this lack?

I'd like to hear some recommendations too, as my companion also really enjoys oriental beauty, and she's about to run my supply dry.

Here's my current favorite: http://www.essenceoftea.co.uk/tea/oolon ... ai-lu.html
Expensive, but true to its name, beautiful in appearance and exceptional in flavor and aroma. Please don't run out the stock!

They still have many award winners from the OB competitions. Have not tried them but would give them a shot.

This tea is exceptional, some of the most beautiful dry leaf I have ever seen!Splinters wrote:Here's my current favorite: http://www.essenceoftea.co.uk/tea/oolon ... ai-lu.html

Thanks for the recommendations, everyone! I wish I could try some of the Essence of Tea version, but between the exchange rate and shipping from the UK, it's a bit cost prohibitive ... Thankfully I managed to grab some of the last of FLT's stock--and I'll definitely have to look into the T-oolong varieties!

Here's a cheaper alternative:
http://www.jas-etea.com/oriental-beauty ... grade-25g/
I'm drinking it right now. Although I don't see any nibbles, it's a very nice selection with a gentle and characteristic oriental beauty aroma and flavor. And it's susceptible to lots of good steeps. I've tried a few Taiwanese oolongs from Jas-eTea, and I think they're really onto something here.

Re: Oriental Beauty Recommendations?
The one from jas-etea is the kind of price range I'm looking for. It's kind of the middling price range for oolong for me. I generally consider, per 100 grams, <$20 to be "low" price range and >$50 to be "high" price range.
Re: Oriental Beauty Recommendations?
J-tea, is easily my #1 place for oolongs of all kinds. I highly recommend the eastern beauty top grade.

Another thought, at about the same price point as the Jas-eTea selection:

It's not an Oriental Beauty, but the flavor profile is similar and might appeal to OB fans.
