Glad to hear I will, work in progress so to say, some changes going on, working on making my shop more independent and improving things, which i think are lacking. I'll add 88 nights shincha closer to harvest time, i.e. end of April.Lerxst2112 wrote:Anyone know if our buddy Xell (Hakoniwado Tea Shop) is offering anything this year? I don't know if it was a sencha from 2010 or 2011 from there, but it was incredible!

Re: 2012 Official Shincha Ordering Topic
I will be getting my first shiboridashi to celebrate this years shincha. I think i'm ready for this kind of teaware, anyway i already prefer to use small kyusu not bigger than 140-180ml. Looking forward for this new experience
Re: 2012 Official Shincha Ordering Topic
O-cha's YM this year will be "classic" again? This is superb. I can't forget the 2010 YM, no other sencha came close to it...YM 2011 was good, but not outstanding...

Re: 2012 Official Shincha Ordering Topic
Looks like Shincha pre-order is available from Orbubu, Ippodo Japanese site, Yuuki-Cha and maeda-en. I've never ordered from these vendors before though, so please don't take this as a recommendation.

Yup, and I am going to order the Kinari just because of you!! So it better be good!iannon wrote:Wellll...I just really like the Kinari..and you can ONLY get it at Shincha time.they do not offer a "regular" version of it throughout the year. off to preorderStentor wrote:Good to know, cool, thanks! OK... and because I have liked the teas that I've had from Maiko so far. I haven't had the Kinari yet, though, so I am excited about it.
It may actually be the only shincha I am buying this year. O-Cha's offerings are tempting, though!

Pre-ordered a bit from both o-cha and maiko. I also decided this was the year to upgrade, and I ordered my first non-glazed kyusu and appropriately sized tea cup (good-bye coffee mug!).

Heh, I ordered the same, along with some O-Cha YM. Not sure if I'm going to order much of anything else this year.iannon wrote:My two "for sure" orders are the Maiko Kinari and the O-cha Aoi. already preordered both.

At the moment there are three on preorder - the YM from ocha, the 88 nights from Kaburagien, and the Kinari sencha from Maiko. Here's hoping for a good tea year for all!

What is it about the Kinari that you like so much? And how would you describe the taste?iannon wrote:Wellll...I just really like the Kinari..and you can ONLY get it at Shincha time.they do not offer a "regular" version of it throughout the year. off to preorder
