Have ordered once from Yunnan and got very quick response (including direct contact from Scott) and a well-packaged, quick shipment at a great price. I look forward to shopping there again.

Scott is great and reliable. Always quick with responses and ship in a very timely fashion. Never disappointed me.

I've started to enjoy some of his Yunnan Sourcing tea, and found them to be quite good. A few examples are the 2010 "Nan Nuo Ya Kou" and 2010 Autumn "Bang Ma". I've just ordered the new Lincang tea and Gao Shan Zhai he just came out with recently, and will report once I get the samples.

I have ordered several Jian Shui Purple Pottery teapots from YS -including the new US based store. I love the jian Shui teapots as they are very well made...well worth the money. The shipping is extremely fast and the packaging is excellent.

I have not tried their teas yet but will do so soon ....probably with my next Jian Shui teapot order...those things are as addictive as Yixing teapots ;)

Not yet. I received an EMS package from China yesterday.

I have a hypothesis that customs wont hold ems packages or charge vat on large dollar shipments, as long as ems is used.

Can anyone disprove this?

what's "large dollar?" Above a certain value, tariffs and other taxes apply.

I don't remember the exact amount that someone quoted me,
but I think it was around $300.

Do you know what the limit is?

Well it also depends on what value is actually declared. I think there is also an option to send as a gift.

Is the USA charging duty for tea and teaware imports? Teaware should not be charged as it is a handicraft and exempt. But, tea for personal use is not charged, is it?
