I was gonna add flame wars but, then there's only one and its very one not much of a flame war. More like Teavana incineration.

The banter and the wisdom are what keep me coming back.
Good stuff.

My main reason for coming back to TeaChat is all the wisdom and the fact that I can talk tea with people and they don't zone out or roll their eyes. In my cup today is jade TGY from TeaSpring.

Discussing tea without the eye rolls might be my number one reason.
It's always nice to find people even more obsessed than me to chat with.
The majority of tea info that I have been devouring lately has come from the folks here.

It's nice to talk about tea when others actually know what you're talking about. And well, quite nice and active community over here. Lots of information, ideas and interesting topics.

New TeaDay Thursday 5/10/12 Reason for return?

I enjoy sharing about tea with others who are passionate and knowledgeable and who don't roll their eyes. And the photos...of teas as well as teawares.

Sadly, no tea yet today. Yesterday, very nice sessions with Xian Hong Pao and Ali Shan oolongs from Norbu. Best part was sharing tea for the first time with a new colleague at work: he often orders 'green tea' at restaurants, but doesnt brew it himself at home. I gave him a mid-session infusion of the Xian Hong Pao, and the look of delight as he took the first sip was priceless. Also, one of my loveliest but least used cups found a new home with another colleague who I've been sharing tea with for a year now. Another great smile to make the workday nicer.

I come for some of the information, definitely some photos, and just general snuffling around to see who's drinking what, and what their opinions are. Plus, it's always nice to connect with other tea buddies.

Nothing in the cup but air at the moment. Morning tea was my first flush Chinese green from Teaspring. Last night was one of Bryan's new 2012 Shinchas. Tonight will probably be either a balhyocha or TGY... haven't decided. Maybe a shu-pu. :D

I come mainly for information, but also for the no eye rolling. Most of my family drinks iced tea, but think im strange to like hot tea. Most people also dont understand why i wouldnt just get tea bags, or why i would buy loose tea when its so "expensive." (and i generally drink fairly cheap stuff <$10/oz). I also like the OTTIs when i manage to catch one. Finding time to get on teachat lately has been hard.

Several different teas today, testing out "new" mrs. tea maker i got at a yardsale for $1. So far white blossom mao feng, leftover mystery sencha and bamboo pu.

I like to learn!

Finding what I like and what I don't like as much (I have to be selective). Lots of great folks on here with great knowledge.

Drinking my white tea fix (a couple of silver needles)... looking forward to my big Chinese green order for the year :)

I must confess--looking at photos of all the pretty pretty teawares (and tea-drinking setups) is what brings me back the most! :) But all the info and tea-wisdom on the forums is a very close second ...

There seems to be a lot of love for tea here.

Drinking a pretty nice Da Yu Ling oolong. I appreciated the Li Shan and the Shan Lin Xi from this vendor more, but it's still pretty wonderful stuff.

First among the five is information, regardless of what I google there are always at least a couple of TeaChat hits. So many knowledgeable members here.
Also because I'm among like minded people here, nobody I know IRL is even half as interested in(read: obsessed with) tea as I am. Not that I post much but it's a large forum and sometimes it's difficult to keep up.

Flame wars, lol ^^
