He does have items with that glaze, and some have equally nice drippies....

Oh wow--how did I ever miss that one? Sadly, I already succumbed to temptation with this one instead ...

Wow. This is one of the best ceramic pieces I've seen this year, period. Wow.
Very nice find and thanks for sharing!

One of two new yunomi I picked up yesterday at Teance.
Love this one - bamboo motif, where the bamboo leaves are non-glazed areas.
2nd shot an attempt to show the crackling.

Neat use of the unglazed to give the design. Very cool.

Found Jeff Brown's shop in Seagrove, NC today. Picked up this beautiful little cup. My iPhone in the hotel room doesn't do it justice, sorry.
If you are reading this, Jeff, it was great meeting you and Michele today. Thanks!
(the colors are true on my iPhone, but look very greenish on my laptop...bummer)

I've been admiring that swirly carved effect since his work was first mentioned here a few months back. Nice piece!
It looks just a little taller/narrower than a very shallow chawan I've been resisting because it was shallower/wider than I preferred. Roughly how big is yours?

Sitting in a hotel room, I have nothing to measure it with. It is a little over one inch tall and about an inch and a half wide. I am guessing it will hold about 60ml.

Oooh. Good to know he makes that style in smaller pieces.

As a friend and former student of Jeff's- we have a few of his and Michele's pieces around the house. I have a guinomi not unlike the one pictured- Jeff gave it to me as a thanks for a wood firing at my house. There's no doubt that the work is top notch, but the people and stories really add another dimension. I'm sure it will be a great reminder of your trip!
Try and stop by Dean and Martin, and Bulldog (there were too many good ones to mention).

We visited Bulldog Pottery today. While visiting with Bruce and Samantha, Jeff Dean stopped in. He told stories that had me laughing so hard I was crying. We had a great time. We plan on going to Dean and Martin's tomorrow before we head out to Asheville.
It will be sad leaving this place. We have met so many good people here.
