I am drinking my first 2 min steep of Li Li Xiang 2011 Anxi Wulong. fresh, full mouthed, lightly roasted/sweet. went a little long on the next cup and became a little astringent. nice tea. no complaints. really loved the first 2 min. steep.

2009 TeaMasters Hung Shui Feng Huang.
Nice medium roast of this tea makes for a pleasant low key brewing session. Leaves a nice lingering aftertaste.

2003 Aged Bai Hao from Hou De

A beautiful tea that still has a lot of the Bai Hao notes and some wonderful aged notes to balance it.

Great mouth feel and seems to last a lot of infusions. I like to do an overnight infusion with this tea for the last infusion. Such sweet nectar to drink first think in the am.

2011 Mt. Yudong Yulan Xiang Dancong from JK Teas -

Slightly woody with nice Yulan overtones...not overly floral. Nice.

2011 The Mandarins Tea Room Tie Lou Han. Just had my first two cup full's, and it is so delicious. Thick robust aroma, and a velvety smooth texture, with a slight hint of chocolate.

Earlier today, I started some Shui Xian from Norbu, and still have the pot sitting with yet another very long infusion.

When that one started to require several minutes, I moved on to a package of the Ali Shan "High Mountain Beauty" oolong from Norbu, from summer 2009. I really loved this tea when I first tried it, and Greg found a packet of it leftover and included it in a group of teas he sent me as a gift recently. I know there have been debates here about the durability of vacuum packed teas: this one is now 3 years old, just opened, and still delicious. Some of the most delicate floral notes are gone, but the sweet spicy Ali Shan basics and the elusive special something from the jassid bug is still wonderfully present. It would not be worth top dollar in its present condition, but it is entirely worth drinking and enjoying still.

Mmmm.

The cold isn't gone away yet, but a day of steady tea-hydration has made it a lot more pleasant.

Resurrecting the last of the aged oolong I put in the fridge last night, hoping to get a few more brews out of it. I know very little about this tea, got it in a swap and it's supposedly from Nantou, aged six years.
