That pot is sexy as hell. The crystals are the kicker for me

My new cup by Chris Gustin. Fresh out of his kiln this morning.

We need more shots of that one. One side view isn't enough.

Thanks, guys. I love it too. I wish I snapped a few pics of more from this kiln. His big pieces were amazing.

Sorry for my awful photography. Here's one more of the cup that shows the crystals a little better.

That's better.

Any of the inside?

And no need to complain about the photography. It's more than clear enough to ogle properly. Beautiful piece.

I have three things to tell you: I love Teachat, I Love this Teapot, and I Cannot Stand PhotoBucket.

I work with video and photo editing software all day, every day in my work and haven't come upon such a convoluted system until I found this site (that site being photobucket.) Henceforth, I'm going to use another photo hosting site in the future.

Beautiful pot....!

And... let me know what site you end up going with. I've reached my Flikr max and was wary of trying PB from the stories...!

Just a quick update - i did a comparison brewing of an 02 shui jin gui in the new pot and a gaiwan, and the teapot actually does smooth out the brew a good bit. I now know the difference a better teapot can make. in fact, the flavour is much more focused. I'm thankful.

A few photos of my new Petr Novák shiboridashi set, which he kindly made for me when I couldn't find a webshop that would ship what I wanted to Sweden.

I know very little about ceramics but I can tell this is made by skilled hands, with love.

Thank you, Petr!

Wow, I think that's one of the prettiest pieces of his work! Very lovely indeed.

I'm really excited about this cup, even though it came with a glaze chip, much to my disappointment. I didn't notice it in the sellers images. It's another one from Mashiko and you can see the Korean influence imho (reminds me a lot of e-Garatsu). I love the tall foot and the way it fits in the hand and the beautiful, thick glaze which crawled and pin-holed, especially where the trimming shredded the rough, sandy clay.

Ooooh! Love the subtle crawl in the glaze. Sort of a cross between the other Mashiko pieces you posted an the traditional crawling Hagi Glazes.
