New TeaDay 7/15/12 Banter and Wisdom, where do I go?

by Chip » Jul 15th, '12, 11:49

Another TeaDay is upon us. I am really looking forward to hearing what everyone else is drinking throughout the day and see what our poll tells us about our TeaChatters.

Again, welcome to TeaDay, come share your cup with everyone across the globe, literally. We have posters from Europe, Asia, North America, South America, Africa, Australia ,.. just Antartica to go! Any volunteers?
There are always tea drinkers tuned in here, so if you are new to TC, please join in.

Today's TeaDay TeaPoll is a different angle about us and TeaChat. These days, what section of TeaChat do you seem to gravitate more often than others? Please share, and have your reasons changed over time???This could be interesting!!!

Have a great TeaDay everyone and bottoms up!

Weird as it may seem, I've always liked the idea of spending a winter on a station on the South Pole, snowed in from April to October, in -60°C cold and being driven crazy cooped up with other people I can't escape from. :D

Not sure what internet access is like though...

Anyway, I voted Teaware and accessories

You didn't put down the most obvious choice:

"View New Posts"

That's where I 'hang out.'

And so far, I've mostly accessed TeaChat from the continental US, although I might have checked in once from France, and definitely from Hawaii. I am less sure that my plan to visit Japan this fall will happen, though, so might not be teaChatting from a Japanese tea shop this year.

I'm in the "view new posts" crowd. Had a nice Genmaicha earlier, and was contemplating a review, but the mind feels too scattered for it. Tomorrow's another day, after all....

I'm with these folks, "View New Posts" is where I go usually. I almost never use the sections as a spring board for browsing. The search feature would be second in terms of how I use TC to learn about whatever tea I'm interested in at the moment.

Had a fun tea day today sampling different raw puerh.

I think a little oddly, I start at the bottom of the TeaChat main index page and work my way up ... opening any forums that have new posts ... after all I have to view them all ultimately.

Why I start at the bottom? Your guess is as good as mine, maybe parallel to why do I drink tea instead of coffee?

I have "View active topics" bookmarked and mostly frequent the
OTTI, Teaware and Accessories, Green, Teaware Artisans sections with the occasional interest in other areas.

No tea yet. Started the day with coffee.
Will have O-Cha Organic "Silver" later. I found that I need to use a lot of leaf (about 1.5 x my normal amount) for best results.
