I still don't know what to make of those TeaKing ginseng oolongs. There were in vogue over here in Taiwan a while ago, especially the 905/915/913 etc. They were ridiculously popular as gifts....never seen a fellow tea addict drink it though.

well i would think most taiwanese have style and make only good gifts.
i thought its inherit in chinese culture to make only good gifts.
but then again what do i know....

In terms of price per volume Ten Ren is not a bad buy. But on the flip side 300g is a lot of something that was not that interesting to me last time I had some in the cupboard.

Well i thought it was good, i never tried it, but i thought it was at least dependable quality.
Anyway did you also try their more expensive offerings?

Last time I made a ten ren purchase was 3 years ago in NYC, before I really started exploring tea seriously. I don't remember exactly which type I got, but I remember spending 60$ for 300g. I can't remember if it was the NYC markup or if it was one of their higher end teas. :oops:
