YS 2002 Yi Wu "Ancient Spirit"

Drinking the last of my sample now and decided to order a cake. There were only 3 left (now 2!) and I quickly put together an order. Luckily I didn't wait longer.

2007 Mengku "Mu Ye Chun 001"

yeah good stuff, nice price tooo

last night though...
2004 Jinuo Shan You Le + 2003 You Le Mountain Round Cake
all loose and shaky, roughly 3.5g 2004 with 2.5g 2003, the best outcome I have had with either of those teas drank separately. Worked so well and I couldn't believe I was drinking those two teas. It tasted like a deeper juicer version of the wuchidao. So quenching sweet, potent flavours but extremely gentle broth.

Hi,

Loose Leaf, Vintage Wild Leaves, 1990's Sheng (as the Chinese tea shop store in Canada named it)

Factory: Ba Da Shan Lao Zai Tea Factory
Origin: Yunnan, Xishuang Banna Region, Bu Lang Mountain

My first experienced with this vendor. A bad start you may call it. I specifically told the owner that I didn't want a very heavily wet stored tea that has lost its green characteristics, he said it was mildly wet.
I am ok with some wet storage but not to the point of killing all the green character of the tea. The wet storage just left a sweet and mellow tea, nothing more, no astringency, no kuwei, etc.
He also sent me a sample of a 1998 CNNP pu, same problem...

A real pity...

PS: luckily I ordered just a sample.

It sounds like you don't like aged puerh very much then? Even naturally stored tea will lose that taste after some years.

Today it's EoT 2010 Bulang. Aaahhhh! "Liquid sand paper", but in a good way.

6.4 g in a 100 ml gaiwan.

Hi Marshal!

What I tried to express is that the tea is so heavily wet-stored that only humidity smell/taste prevails (and sth sweet), nothing else remains.

I would like to have your opinion though, since you are far more experience than I am. I could send you what remains of this tea. Or if you are not interested I could send you some pics of wet/dry leaves and liquor.

Your opinion will be always welcome.

A good recovery tea after a hardcore week of tasting Oolong.

Young sheng pu, Mangzhi 2011 Spring, from Teaurchin.

Wonderful mouth/throat feel, cooling sensation, lumpy throat, thick coating, loved it.

2007 Golden needle white lotus from Menghai, deliciously mellow and still giving after many infusions. I broke off a quite large chunk, in a hurry to get to a meeting, and left it to sit and infuse quite unattended to start. It never makes me regret the mistreatment--carmelicious stuff.

Haven´t tried this one but I was curious about it, I think have seen it in YNNS website. But I don´t know if it´s the same one. It is shown as produced by Tai Lian Cha Ma Si.
