Hi guys.
First time post so please be nice to me!
About a year ago (maybe more) I was given some Ponmudi tea that a friend got me while on holiday in India.
I really really rated it and having just moved house I've found the old packet that I put aside for research purposes, I've had no joy in finding details about it & where to buy it.
Google comes up with nothing (other than the area info) and even my last desperate attempt of ebay gives me nothing!!!
Is the tea available does anyone know? Or is there an alternative I could try?
Any thoughs / info?
Cheers.
Andy... (PS I hope I'mposting in the right section!)

Re: Ponmudi tea.
Welcome to the forum.
Sounds pretty obscure as far as tea is concerned. Nilgiri is also from southern India, maybe try that.
Can you describe the tea?
Edit. Googling ponmudi tea had pretty many results however including alibaba. This one might work ... http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/106 ... i_Tea.html

Hi Chip.
Thanks for your quick reply.
To be honest it is so long since I had it can't describe the flavour!
All I remember is that the leaves were really big and that it made areally strong cuppa!
For what it's worth, here's a photo of the pack.

I'll try the tea you suggested and see if it can jog the memory!

That is a good idea actually. I have often seen peeps get obsessed trying to refind that tea they loved. Thing is, there are lots of great teas to be discovered!
So, get discovering.
