I liked the big glass jars of teas at my Chinatown market, because I couldn't always match the labels on the jars to names I was reading about, but once I started tasting better stored teas, especially vacuum packed green oolongs and nitrogen flushed japanese greens, I quickly came to dislike those lovely clear jars.
But I have been hesitant to buy their packaged teas because it's hard to tell the quality of those.
I'd like to see samples--sample jars plus sample packages with just 5 or 10 grams of tea, plus prepackaged 2 or 4 oz well-sealed teas. Even two ounces of some pricey teas is a bit scary if you can't sample them first. The packages should be truly airtight, ziplocs at a minimum--no twisty-ties.
