A very sad announcement regarding Iannon
I just received a message from Ian's (aka Iannon) wife, Erica. With tears in my eyes, I sadly inform you that Ian passed away suddenly yesterday. Ian was very likable, and I came to enjoy our friendship. I think everyone did, he was that kind of guy. I am sure we will all miss him very much.
I do not know his cause of death at this time.
Please keep his wife and family in your thoughts and prayers.
And please convey your thoughts and condolences here in this topic dedicated to Ian and his memory, I will pass a link to this topic onto his wife.
Since the TC IM is down right now, I posted this here under Teaware and Accessories, the forum's most popular place to visit ... and I know Ian enjoyed his teaware and this particular forum of TeaChat!

Tipping a cup of sencha Tenryu in his memory and honor today. I had mailed the Tenryu and Tenjo to him very recently as part of NOTTI. I am hoping he enjoyed them ...

I am very sorry to hear this. We chatted many times since I joined TC. Especially sad since he was apparently only 43

Remembering Ian by Adam Yusko, on Flickr
Ian had a knack for finding wonderful teaware at Goodwill for practically a steal. Pictured above is one of the 3 Nerikome of Goodwill, which Ian had found, one made its way to Chip and the other found it's way to me. I can never forget how kind Ian was, and just how easily likable he was all the time.
This is probably one of many tea sessions I will have in memory of him. The blue cup was from the same SO that the cup in Ian's profile picture was. My thoughts are with his wife, and family, if he is missed this much by me, I can not imagine how much they miss him.

That is really terrible news. His wife has my condolences.
His next to last post was one welcoming a new member. He was always very supportive and respectful.
Sorry to see the loss of a fellow Tennessean.

I'm so sorry to hear this! For a few moments, my mind was blurred about whether this is the Ian who exchanged emails with me before and bought tea from me just few weeks ago. Then it's kind of confirmed when I saw BigHorn mentioned Tennessee... Just can't believe life and death happen so fast... He was an extremely nice person and I enjoyed communication with him very much.
