I wish I had a tetsubin to show off. Unfortunately my Lin's kettle hit the floor a couple months back. I am right now stuck with my water boiler.

We were mainly bantering about keeping rust off the area where the lid meets the kettle. I tried the q-tip and vinegar suggestion. It did help with no side-effects.
My kettle had built up more rust than seemed healthy for the long run. After two years the scale is getting lumpy. Looking forward to more!
