Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
I've only tried oolong from Hawaii, but it has been so amazing that I'd expect the green to be awesome too.

Received some Hawaiian green last week, don't have the bag with me at the moment so I don't know exactly where it's from, but very excited to try!

My sencha du jour is Shoike-no-o from Ippodo. Nice grassy fragrance and very well balanced flavor.

Beginning tastings for OTTI 16. Sae Midori and a Honyama selection from Thes du Japon. Cannot say much else since participants do not have their tea yet.

But we do enjoy the teasers!
Beginning my day with Gyokuro Shou-en from O-Cha. Good for the price but I may give up my search for 'everyday' gyo and just ration out the top-of-the-line gyo.

OK, more teasers from OTTI 16 Thes du Japon. Next the semi-ferment Sayama Kaori ... very interesting. This may give tasters fits, but with much care in brewing it is a very different Japanese green.
Next, Oku Midori. GOOD!!!
Yeah, I prefer mostly sticking with the good stuff for gyokuro. Shou-un is a good one for the price, but everyday tea is sencha for me, gyokuro is special ... so small concentrated steeps for special times of better selections.
Currently have Kame from O-Cha open and Hakoniwado's Ayame. One from Uji and the other from Yame ... both exceptional and very different from each other.
(New teaser ... gyo OTTI has been on my mind a LOT lately)

Kukicha Yama from Tea Trekker. I received it as a sample with order and now I'm considering ordering a full packet. I had forgotten how nice Kukicha can be. This one has that nutty and sweet quality that I like in senchas. It's less caffeine and maybe easier on the stomach than normal sencha, but still full-flavored.

An Ji Bai Cha from Norbu, brewed in my new Yi Yong Cheol pot. A pleasant way to start the day.

Re: Official what GREEN are you currently drinking?
During the period after Sandy when we didnt have power and heat I drank lots of oolong, so now that I'm warm again I've been concentrating on greens. My OTTI16 package has not yet arrived, even though PA and NJ share a border. I began the day with some Gyokuro Shouen, followed by Gu Zhu Zi Sun. I sometimes forget how good a delicate Chinese green can be, given how they can be overshadowed by the intensity of Japanese greens. And the leaves look so pretty in my glass gaiwan.

Today, the teaware is all unpacked, although the rest of the kitchen remains a disorganized mess. I have my priorities, after all. I am enjoying some more of Norbu's lovely An Ji Bai Cha, from the Petr Novak kyusu and my scallop yunomi from Split Fire pottery. Not that there was anything wrong with the tea brewed in the little glass teapot and drunk from my granite yunomi from Ginkgo, but it is so nice to be able to rotate again.

This Morning I had some Ze Da Sejak, hit the spot a bit more this morning. Although lately Korean greens have just not been doing it for me. Unlike late spring and summer.
