This afternoon's tea
A Miyazaki Kamairicha prepared in a Tokoname kyusu from Aichi (brand new--just broke my trusty main kyusu), decanted in a glass chahai, and served in an Arita porcelain cup. The komon-print canister in the background is where I store this particular tea.

Thanks! It was actually a thrift-store find ... it's amazing what's hidden there sometimes.

"Gyokuro Training!!!" Korean Shib, Korean Yuzamashi, Japanese Natsume held the single serving of "Mystery Gyokuro."

"Mystery Asamushi" in Kenji Kyusu.

A pair of pinched Guinomi by Kashun await delicious sencha.

Thanks, Chip! Sadly, I do not have any pics of my own that show off the chataku by themselves--but I got them in this swap from Ambrose: viewtopic.php?f=70&t=15490 . His pictures are much better than mine!

... ohhh, the swap. Opportunity missed.
Hagi SO Tempest with mystery asamushi brewed in a mysterious Touju Kyusu. Oh, and realllly old "supporting actor" chataku. (I think we need a "best supporting actor" topic for teaware that is never THE star but shines anyway ... been wanting to for a while actually)
