I found this a really cool anime today called Hyouge Mono.
http://www.pinoyanime.tv/hyouge-mono/
I wasn't sure if anyone mentioned it on here before. Japanese teaware and tea ceremony Is a big theme through out the series. The first episode was titled something like "to die for a teakettle."
It is a pretty cool show if you can get past the extreme facial expressions.

Wow. So this pretty much ticks all the "things I love" boxes for me!!! thanks for sharing!
Re: Anime that revolves around teaware
Excellent find! I may have to track down the books, too... haha
The only other tea-related manga I recall offhand (aside from the "ocha ken" (tea dogs) that my avatar comes from) was a crazy episode of Ranma 1/2 and having to fight an old lady while in seiza (the proper style of sitting).

I just started watching. it's relaxing. and makes me want to make tea. and own a tea hut. some day. when i get a giant house.... i shall have a faux tea room.
Re: Anime that revolves around teaware
I was quite surprised to see that the characters were based on historical figures.
I dug around a little and found another movie called Rikyu about the tea master Sen No Rikyu who had a profound influence on wabi-cha

Check it out.

Don't forget this old one:

Of course, it's less about teaware than performing chanoyu, and less about performing chanoyu than it is about being in college and having crushes and stuff.
There are multiple manga about Oribe, apparently.

Reminds me and think this is good information for watching Hyougemono: "Senno Soeki" is Sen No Rikyu.Namnai wrote:Sen No Rikyu

Have you read any or come across any other animes?
