My thoughts too. But I did receive a copy of the report from a 3rd party, it seems legit. I will let you know if I hear anything contrary.
I also received a report from Kevin of O-Cha who confirmed readings of virtual zero on his teas tested in Japan which are in line with the readings of this round of tests. Thus I feel the reported figures are correct.
Since Dan of Yuuki-Cha will not respond to my contacts, I cannot obtain any confirmation there. However I did notice an anomaly in the testing reported there. Supposedly there was to be standardized testing based upon bq/kilo of Aracha. However ... for instance, reading through the reportings, they make mention of testing of brewed tea for Miyazaki in 2012 which could potentially give much different readings. This was a big point of contention with regard to growers, etc. wanting to test brewed tea which they felt would be easier for them to pass the testing under the legal limits (or so I read at the time).
I do not know why the Aracha was not tested??? Supposedly this was the standard for any tea to be exported.
