Looking for a porcelain Hohin for Sencha

I'd like to add a porcelain Hohin (for not more than 1-2 people) to my collection.

I've found this (simple, plain, elegant and functional.)

I'd appreciate opinions and suggestions.

Thank you.

Artistic Nippon's offering is a very high grade ... and price.

Less expensive. Maiko has a few porcelain offerings.

I'm just curious why you need one. That pot in your avatar looks good for sencha and if its the same one I have it about the size you are looking for too.

... if you "need" to ask ... TAD.

Seriously though, if I am going to drink GOOD HQ Gyokuro, I would want at least one Houhin.

Yeah I wasn't really being serious with that suggestion. Its too high for my comfort  ...but you never know

Anyway out of the two plain ones in this thread I'd lean towards Chips more. Shape looks good.

BTW, is there a reason why you are searching for porcelain over ... clay?

Just wondering.

Thanks for the replies so far, everyone. I owe a lot this community's kind help when it comes to my tea-drinking experience.

Chip, I just prefer neutral materials over ones that "enhance" or alter the tea's flavour. At this point, I'm just not a fan of what clay does to my tea. Though I keep experimenting with my Tokoname pots nevertheless. ;)

Fair enough.

Oddly, I have never purchased a Tokoname Houhin or Shiboridashi. However I have had very good results with Hagi, Bizen and Shigaraki as well as from Petr (one of our Teaware artisans).

Oh I do have some glazed stoneware from Petr, and they're neutral enough, and beautiful as well. :)

HIGHLY recommended.
