Re: OTTI 17, AKA GY-OTTI 1
Email is in! I'm really looking forward to the gyokuro. My brewing technique will certainly be tested.

Some Kyusu-less members use a gaiwan.
Once upon a time at a restuarant, I used the coffee cup with the saucer as a lid. It was awkward, but it worked.
Then another time flying to LV for WTE, I had just received shincha before leaving ... I used a napkin as a strainer in a paper cup. There was no way I was going to wait ... I have photos somewhere ... I called it "Shincha at 40,000 Feet."
But yeah, a Kyusu is more ... pleasant.

Re: OTTI 17, AKA GY-OTTI 1
Thank you to all the readers and participants so far!
At last count, there are a dozen "sets" remaining that I really need members to take off my hands. I would actually prefer 15 get taken which still leaves me with several sets for personal tastings.
Soooo, please sign up and join us!
And I figure that since we are more than 24 hours in, if anyone wants to up their quantities, please feel free to do so by emailing me as well.

Some good old "arm twisting" seems to have helped! Looks like we are 4 "sets" away from my minimum comfort zone for this GY-OTTI round ... almost there ...
Just need a few more TCers to join us at the Gyokuro TeaTable.

Thanks Chip!! I have a couple of gaiwans which might do the trick... Is there anywhere I could grab possible ratios of leaf/water for a gaiwan?
(on phone so the search function isnt doing me any favours at the moment!!)
