Yeah I was really torn between one of those and my new Tachi Masaki. Lovely lovely pot David.
Re: NEW! Official Teaware of the Day!
I love Tachi Masaki's teapots, although sometimes I feel that they are too "perfect" for me. I discover that I prefer more and more asymmetry, "defects" in teaware. Good thing about this teapot is that it combines the style I like and a very good glaze with a nice effect on tea. After Shimizu Ken and Tachi Masaki's teapots, I wouldn't have been able to just use only a "pretty" teapot. It has to deliver.
I think my next step will be to try a reduction-fired kyusu from Yamada So, but I'll have to wait for the right item as these babies are expensive... Akira has also been working on a new clay. I'll see which one comes first.

speaking of Tachi Masaki, intersting kutani-yaki style on banko
Now to have something on there besides perhaps flowers or bamboo...

I think it'd look cool if the seasonal motifs were very shallowly engraved into the pot's body, like the artist's signature. And without colours added.

I've been drinking overly-strong Irish black tea (of some sort..) most of the day. It's definitely had an effect on my Rockinghorsefly teacup!
