Making tea chaozhou style, wouldnt you crush some leaves?
How does it affect flavor?

It makes it stronger. Teas with extremely large leaves aren't usually good anyway.

I've had some wonderful dancong, yancha, and puerh with very long leaves.

when seeing teapot sizes in ml its assumed that it doesn't include the leaves, how much can you expect to take off with the leaves?
so would a 120 ml pot become 105-115?

So many factors to consider... How many grams of leaf are we talking? What type of tea? How many infusions in to the session are we? etc.

A high fired TGY brewed in a true kung fu style can result in maybe 60ml of tea or less from a 120ml pot, whereas a 120ml pot 1/3 full of dancong could result in 110ml or more in the first few infusions. There's a very wide range.

Ah, well that pretty much answered it,
I usually brew greens and dancongs, so they don't expand too much compared to tgy.
Thanks

This one could go under several different topics but this is a place as good as any. Lovers of the smaller size who have a bit of money left (i.e.: not me  ) can try this beauty by Petr Novak (80ml / 2.70oz)
It can be ordered from http://www.darjeeling.cz/en/accessories ... uch-pn-194
... and this the end of this ad break
