Re: Recent jade, metal, and clay teapot...

I noticed this Korean vase when it first popped up, but it quickly went out of my range.

Anybody have any thoughts on this one?

I couldn't find any info on "Rhee dynasty," unless if that is reference to the Yi family...?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-rare-19th-cen ... 4ac21d6a56

http://www.ebay.com/itm/A-Perfect-19th- ... 257bb02b1a

two different sellers each with very few sales but the same item, price and description....

There seems to be an endless number of these. Are the spouts plastic?

They can't possibly be 19th century as claimed?

No, cheap repros. Not sure what materials, but it's safe to assume these are for decorative purposes only.

There is a bidding war for this pot:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TALL-TEAPOT-CHI ... 8670872%26

it's really big, but otherwise nice, and possibly old. But I don't understand the enthusiasm. $1000? It's chipped...

Maybe the artist is very famous?
