futurebird: WANTED: broken items

by futurebird » Apr 7th, '13, 10:05

I have ordered a kintsugi kit. I'd like to buy your broken teapot or teacup (items for gong fu, so smaller pots, yixing etc.) to practice

The kit uses real gold so I'd rather not waste it ... yet I don't know what I'm doing yet, so I don't want anything too precious. Also, if it's shattered in a million pieces... forget it. Ideal would be 4 or fewer pieces. Really 3 is plenty!

I'm not offering to fix things for others at this time, if it turns out that I'm good at this I will, otherwise it's just a hobby. Thanks.

Let me know how much you want for the broken item.

I will show you the results of my work. If it goes very well I'll show the whole forum.

Where on earth did you find a real Kintsugi kit? I've been looking for a long time!

If you end up really enjoying the art and put some good results up, I'm sure you'd make a killing on here!!! :D

Preparing to do some kintsugi to fix this teapot my epipen is ready.

I'll get back to those of you who contacted me shortly. I think I need to do this experiment first!

The kit is from the repair thread in the teaware forum.

Just created two more items for you last night. One cup broke perfectly in four pieces. If you are interested, I am waiting for your PM.
