Single Serve Teas

by MEversbergII » Apr 12th, '13, 22:39

SO at work and when travelling, it's not always practical to use gaiwans, pots or even to measure out some tea properly.

I've tried the TeaHong "toucha squares" from 2010. Good pu'er, good enough for work anyways! Each square's about 3g - good enough for steeping in a mesh tea ball in a regular mug, so long as you cover it with something for 5 mins.

But it's time to add something else to the mix.

Puer shop has a couple of these "candy teas". They look like small balls of black, green and jasmine green teas in mint style wrappers. Can't link yet unfortunately, but it's on there.

Anyone have experience with these? I'm done with bad green tea, so I'm thinking the black tea might be the best. Goal: Put it in a tea ball and brew at work and on travel.

Thanks,

M.
