You are in Eastern Europe, quite a feat to receive that in Eastern Europe in 4 days unless you shipped it by EMS. So the question is, are you talking about 2012 Sae Midori or 2013 shincha Sae Midori?
2012. I didn't have any green tea so couldn't wait for shincha :)

I found the way to brew it, and really enjoy it now. It definitely is a mild green, but i find the pure taste of sencha wonderful.

I figured, but the lack of taste I asked about was due to not enough leaves. I guess i panicked way to early...

And one more thing, does anyone find sencha taste better one day after opening it?

Yes! As much as air is its enemy ... it is also seemingly needed to reawaken the leaves ... perhaps due to nitro flushing.

... it needs to breath the free air once again.

I am drinking a houjicha I got at the Japanese deli by work. I don't know the brand, but it's distributed by Nishimoto. It's okay but I am trying to drink it all up before I open the good houjicha I got in Kyoto! :D

Pretty good grade Longjing/Lungching/龙井/龍井/Dragon Well with my "breakfast" consisting of chinese breakfast style fried leftover rice at 10 am.
I only drink green tea early in the day, until 1 pm or so.

2012 Spring Wild Growing Anji Bai Cha from JK Tea

Just opened and still very good. Grassy to start and floral to finish.

Finishing up a small sample of 2012 Spring Wuliang Mountain Mao Feng from YS. I like it. It's sort of sweet and grassy with a little bit of a floral note to it. First cup was also slightly nutty. I seem to be able to get four or five good infusions out of it, brewing in a 16-oz steeping mug.

(Oddly, I have been finding that I almost always enjoy the less-leaf-more-time infusions I've tried than the more-leaf-less-time infusions. I'm not sure if this is due to a lack of skill, improper equipment, or just my personal tastes, but in any event, it's nice that I can eventually come up with a brew I like.)
