Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
I use cha he as a funnel Those are too flat and a bit large. I love the gaiwan, though.
Re: Petr Novák - Pots under influence of tea
Thank you all.
Thanks for pointing that out. Those flatter ones are good for taking pics and presenting leaves, though. Anyway, do you think that this is too big? And here is new yunomi. Three bark surface under translucent crackel glazing. Some white slip there too...futurebird wrote:I use cha he as a funnel Those are too flat and a bit large. I love the gaiwan, though.

That's a great yunomi. Nice form and lovely glaze. Another nice addition. I know I don't like to drink my sencha in small cups. I prefer using a yunomi even if it is barely full.

Oh I mis-judged the size. I thought they were bigger for some reason.
The size is perfect, but I've been looking for more "curl"

I am glad that you like it! I have few more similar ones in kiln, which we are going to open tomorow. So many years with woodfiring and I am still exited about every new kiln...David R. wrote:That's a great yunomi. Nice form and lovely glaze. Another nice addition. And here something funny from this morning tea session. Enjoy!

Again, great, intriguing work! Horsetail weed? On tray or pot or both?
Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks!
On the plate. Those dark, glaze like shiny "drawings" are created just by horsetail weed, which we put there before firing. Natural ash glaze...The dark "sun" on the top of that plate is made just by putting small sea shell there. Fire and heat do their job then.ethan wrote:Horsetail weed? On tray or pot or both?
