My new chawan from Greenwood Studio!

It is multitalented, matcha on the left and gyokuro on the right

Additonal photos in the Teaware Artisan thread! This has been a workhorse for me the lately, and I see no reason why that should change in the near future

Love the pictures and the chawan--especially the contrast between the warm orange of the bowl/surroundings with the vivid green of the matcha!

Soooo, I picked up two by Gary Holt.
Here's the 2nd one.
(guess I'm a chawan whore, as if none of us knew that
).

Gosh, I love the crazing and the silky smoothness of the crazed white glaze.

Delicious for the eyes and I suspect for the tastebuds too. The pinkish cast is wonderful against the matcha green green green.

Hey debunix,
Have you developed an affinity for matcha yet? These wonderful photo's should do it.

Agreed!
Just checked out some gorgeous chawan & yunomi at a Berkeley gallery.
Took some pics w/ my ipad - If I knew a way to share photos from my ipad without using some bull$#it 3rd party website, I'd share right now!
Have to wait I guess.
Sigh.
(ps - anyone know of a way to upload photos from an ipad to TC, or would my assumption that that isn't possible be correct?)

Nope. I'm holding out for a matcha session with a pro matcha preparer to see if the problem is my matcha prep or the matcha I've obtained. Too many rather pricey disappointments.
