Minhongs!

by MEversbergII » Jun 16th, '13, 20:12

I am on a quest to find a good source of Fujianese black tea - minhongs. One dealer I regularly order form has a single type - listed as "Shenhulin Dabai" - and I like it. I've also read a little into the subject, and into some of the different kinds of Fujian-made black teas. However, I'm not sure where I should start sourcing some from and I thought it would be a good opportunity to open up a discussion on the subject.

Leads?

I would start with the three famous styles (Bailin, Panyang, and Zhenghe) and branch out from there -- the old-fashioned Chinese black teas are all very interesting.

Well, I'm all for that. Where would you suggest sourcing them from?
