I'd expanded the scope of the sale and added some items.

Hello Ed,
Those are some beautiful new offerings at very fair prices.
Thank you for offering the Shibuya Deishi Biwa Wan. Any tips from members on sealing them would be greatly appreciated. I did a quick search, but found no concrete ideas. (pun intended)

The Ice chawan is tempting, but I must avoid getting sucked into the dark side!

TeaChat Search "cornstarch."

I have used this treatment with great success even with extreme leakers (in fact one was my Hagi SO Biwa.

However, often use (think fukamushi) or even matcha will seal it up.

I just want to "talk up" Ed's Shibuya Deishi Biwa Chawan. Anyone half-interested in a chawan should jump on it! I bought one of the two that were available from Ed.

The craftsmanship and artistry is so nice. The It feels great to hold in the hand.

Do not let the leaking deter you. Mine sealed up after 4-5 sessions. It is very light and holds heat amazingly well. This is a great winter use chawan.

It is great construction! I thought it would be small, but the bowl opens in the middle. This fits whisk well.

Thanks Bio, I am glad you are enjoying it. Not to self-promote too much, but I have a nodate chasen I use with these bowls. I used made some matcha in the remaining one a day or so ago and it turned out quite well. Perhaps its because currently I only have a nodate chasen, but I think I like this size for matcha more than the full sized chawan.
