Generally speaking, tea & coffee are usually not recommended to those with gastritis. Green teas can be more irritating to the stomach than other teas from my personal experience. Some more than others. Best to experiment with different teas and pay attention to how you feel afterward. Best not to drink tea on an empty stomach if you are sensitive.

May I suggest you go see a TCM doctor for advice and treatment (most likely your diet is too damp!...poor spleen Qi is out of balance).

G'luck.

Coffee and Tea are generally not recommended for those suffering from gastritis. The acid content of the drink is part of the issue, but caffeine is also thought to exacerbate acid production.

Having said that, everyone is different and many gastritis sufferers see no ill effects from tea, which is comparatively low in caffeine. A cup or two a day probably would be ok for most. Trust your stomach. If you feel no ill effects, you're probably ok to have some.
