But here is my question:
Has anyone tried Hibiki-an Gyokuro Superior? If so, what do you think? I have had many Gyokuros in Japan, some of which were exceptional, but I really like this one.
Re: Gyokuro in bulk?
i tried a sample of it long ago , i remember it was testy but hasn't have the same "Gyokuro kick" more like a very good Sencha , i still haven't found a more value for money better then there Gyokuro Premium.

Re: Gyokuro in bulk?
It has been at least 5 years since I had it, but I did not care for this selection at all. It had plenty of flavor but the flavor was not to my liking.davidglass wrote:But here is my question:

Their Premium selection was "soft" compared to others in similar price points. There was nothing bad about it, but it lacked punch.jbu2 wrote:i tried a sample of it long ago , i remember it was testy but hasn't have the same "Gyokuro kick" more like a very good Sencha , i still haven't found a more value for money better then there Gyokuro Premium.
Re: Gyokuro in bulk?
if we starting to talk about it then i must say i am very disappointed from ippodo Gyokuro , i tried almost every one up to Rimpo (which is at the same price range) and none did deliver as much as Hibiki-ans Premium Gyokuro , and i am saying this even thou i had a little bad costumer service experience , i found black leaves in ippodo's Rimpo , loved there kuki but you can't compare stems with pure tea leaves.jbu2 wrote:i tried a sample of it long ago , i remember it was testy but hasn't have the same "Gyokuro kick" more like a very good Sencha , i still haven't found a more value for money better then there Gyokuro Premium.
