Dragon Tea House Long Jing, Zhu Ye Qing, An Ji Bai Pian

by joelbct » Jan 19th, '08, 15:52

So the Dragon Tea House shipment arrived today. Took precisely 3 weeks.

I just tried the Superfine Long Jing, which is fantastic. Just like a very good Long Jing, slightly sweet, delicious, none of the smokiness I noticed with the Seven Cups Shi Feng Long Jing. And at just 18.70 for 100 grams, this is the middle grade LJ from DTH.

A note, the Seven Cups Shi Feng is 3 times more expensive than the highest grade Long Jing from DTH, although SC does offer a less expensive LJ as well. Either way, I will order Chinese Green from both vendors again, but it seems that DTH offers the better value for Long Jing...

The DTH Zhu Ye Qing Supreme is fantastic too- I def. get the asparagus notes that were mentioned. Yummy, I am going to go make the 2nd infusion...

And the An Ji Bai Pian is delicious as well, but I prefer the Long Jing and Zhu Ye Qing, personally.

On the topic of Green Tea, I know I have downplayed Rishi before, but I just made a cup of their Jade Cloud/ Wulu from Zhejiang: it is actually quite tasty.
