08 Lin Yin Hao Youle Longpa gushu brick -

Heavy herbal and light honeyed flavors with just a touch of florals on the finish. Having been keep in a more humid environment shows though in some slightly mature notes. Flavor is a bit dense and heavy. Seems like it could use more time to mellow.

Linyinghao here too: 09 luoshuidong gushu. Classic LSD taste: thin and complex like the 2010 i have. (butter caramel, old books, maybe leather and peppermint or camphor) Deep and refreshing, good durability. Nice huigan if pushed a little, subtle mild qi and subtle houyun. I like LSD.

2013 TeaUrchin Wan Gong

This is obviously a very good tea. Beautiful leaves. Very thick and smooth liquid. Great, long floral aftertaste. Not as much qi as I expected. Despite this being an extremely well made tea with high quality leaves, there is something missing for me that I can't put my finger on.

Every time I've had LSD it has been rather tasteless sometimes a hint of a mint.I like It for the strong qi.

This was not my experience with the Tea Urchin LSD. Plenty of flavor. Actually, very good.

Trust me, the 2010 LSD fdrx mentioned would blow TeaUrchin's LSD away, well, from the 2012 maocha I've had as an example. It wasn't all that inferior to Essence of Tea's 2013 Guafengzhai...

I have been wanting to try the Wan Gong Teaurchin made!

Today I am drinking a couple of the Douji blind samples. One seems to be Mengsongy (do they even make Mengsong?) and the other is a sweet straw Yiwu, something like Sanhezhai. At least, those are my guesses. Who knows.

This doesn't lessen the quality of TU's LSD. Have you tried it? The one fdrx mentions is older than TU's. Where to buy the fdrx LSD?

Never heard of that tea, can I have a link to some vendor, or the chinese characters with which to do a search?

First time in a while with the 2008 bamboo-aged YiWu from Norbu, so mellow and nice from my Yi Yong Cheol pot.

Having a nice session with the 2013 YS Wa Long Village this afternoon.

*After I continued brewing this one it appeared to be over processed somewhat. Flavors dropped of quickly and soup became a darkish orange/brown. Looking at the leaves indicates this as well.

Digging the 80s loose from Origin Tea.

The new Frisell is on the home juke box. At least for now, all is well.

Still enjoying the 2008 bamboo-aged YiWu, pot nearly full of leaf, still infusions only a minute or so after 20 or 30 of them. It makes such very nice sweet-water now towards the end, caramelicious.
